PEP RALLY - Community wide pep rally for our Plainview Bulldogs, this Thursday @6:00 pm at Wayland Soccer field located at the corner of Yonkers and 8th street. The Bulldogs take on Abilene Cooper in a Bi-District game at Frenship on Friday! The band will be there, the cheerleaders and a DJ. We will have free hot dogs while they last. Hope to see you there!
Our varsity football team will be leaving on Friday by way of the following route and times as we head toward Frenship for our Bi-district Playoff Game against Abilene Cooper. Obviously these times are approximate as we will deal with traffic, etc. We appreciate all of our community’s support!

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER Applications may be picked up at the Administration Office, 912 Portland, from September 5, 2017- November 1, 2017 for the first semester and January 9, 2018 - March 7, 2018 for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year. Training dates are October 4, 2017; November 1, 2017; February 7, 2018; and March 7, 2018.
For a child new to a school or a shy child struggling to make friends, a school playground can be a very lonely place. They may not know where to go or who to play with and that can be a bit stressful for a child just wanting to belong. Even the most well-meaning of children with established friendships may not notice when another classmate is without someone to play with during free time.
From a field of over 230 applicants, Plainview High School career and special populations counselor Amy Hagerman was selected by Texas OnCourse, an initiative empowering Texas students to succeed in high school, college, and career, as one of 29 counselors and advisers from across the state to participate in a two-year Leadership Fellowship.
The Plainview High School “Powerhouse of the Plains” marching band walked away with first place honors among bands that competed on Oct. 14 to earn the Bands of America (BOA) West Texas Regional Competition Class AA championship held at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland, TX.
Twenty-three Plainview High School A Cappella Choir students competed in the All-Region Choir Competition held at Lubbock-Cooper High School on September 29. PHS students walked away from the event claiming 20 spots and one alternate position in the All-Region Choir.
